Preschool is an important part of early childhood development. Studies have shown that children who go to preschool do better in kindergarten. Generally, kids who go to preschool learn better and are better able to behave in a classroom when they get to kindergarten. In partnership with the County Office of Education, First 5 San Diego’s Preschool for All program provides free, quality, half-day preschool programs for families in Cajon Valley, Chula Vista, Escondido, Lemon Grove, Mountain Empire, National City, San Ysidro, South Bay, Valley Center/Pauma and Vista. Preschool for All is designed to give children access to a high quality preschool experience to help them succeed in school and in life.
