Healthcare coverage can help a child receive necessary medical care - from routine doctor visits to treatment for more serious conditions.  First 5 San Diego’s Healthcare Access program helps eligible children ages 0 through 5 and their families enroll and stay enrolled in health insurance. 

First 5 San Diego can help determine a family’s eligibility for programs such as Medi-Cal, Healthy Families and Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM).  Once families are enrolled in one of these programs, First 5 San Diego can assist with finding healthcare services, scheduling routine doctor visits, immunizations, and dental care.
